JOB DETAILS             
One of our clients, a reputed shipping company based in Chennai, is looking to employ an HR Officer. 
You should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You are expected to be knowledgeable about employment legislation and possess strategic and commercial insight to the labor process. You must also be able to negotiate with diplomacy. You should display excellent organizational skills, good time-management skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. You should possess markable conflict management and decision-making skills to ensure employee compliance.
HR Officer Responsibilities:
01] Preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and managing the employment process.
02] Orientating new employees and training existing employees.
03] Monitoring employee performance.
04] Ensuring that all employees are organized and satisfied in their work environment.
05] Overseeing the health and safety of all employees.
06] Implementing systematic staff development procedures.
07] Providing counseling on policies and procedures.
08] Ensuring meticulous implementation of payroll and benefits administration.
09] Communicating with staff about issues affecting their performance.
10] Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.

HR Officer Requirements:
01] MBA in HR from a reputed institute
02] Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience in a well known corporate.
03] Additional training/certification in Payroll Management – may be advantageous.
04] Labor Relations certification – may be advantageous.
05] Experience as a Skills Development Facilitator – may be advantageous.
06] Able to engage in meaningful negotiation and resolution.
07] Knowledge of employment legislation.
08] Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
09] Protecting the interests of all employees.
10] Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
